Operator II
- Job Type: Full Time
- Pay Rate: $3,936 to 5,022/month, depending on experience

Duties: Performs inspections of the Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) and pump station; reads instruments and records data, and enters, retrieves and manipulates data from a computer; interprets process control data and makes equipment and process adjustments to meet targets set by the process control guidelines; enters, retrieves and manipulates data from computer, uses SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System) control system to operate, troubleshoot, and control treatment plant and pump station processes; establishes and maintains logs and records as required by laws, regulations and procedures; adjusts instrumentation and calibration of sensors to control systems such as chemical feed systems, biosolids systems, secondary process systems, wet well levels, and manages extreme hydraulic fluctuations; and collects samples and conducts process control testing.
Qualifications: High school education (or equivalent) plus additional specialized courses in wastewater treatment plant operation, or any satisfactory combination of experience and training. Must possess an Oregon Wastewater Treatment System Operations Grade II Certification and a valid Oregon Driver’s License. Intermediate knowledge of the principles, methods, tools, and equipment used in advanced wastewater treatment processes, with experience in a Class III or higher activated sludge wastewater treatment facility; and intermediate knowledge of biological and chemical nutrient removal and tertiary treatment systems.
